A Song of Love
A sparrow attracted by the rice is singing a song of love

The morning
I woke up,
it was a new year―
Shimekazari - a Japanese rope made from rice straws-
is hanging at the entrance door
A sparrow attracted by the rice
is singing a song of love
I wonder
with sleepy eyes
why the sun rises every day
Then I realize
......to give you good morning hugs
