Summoning Thunder
Nothing cracks like Texas thunder

Summoning Thunder
Nothing cracks like Texas thunder
ricocheting through the night.
We rouse ourselves from gossamer dreams.
Foggy in our mirrored eyes, we slip shades open
and gaze unto the velvet mist of early morning,
a marbled sky of violet wonder.
A heartbeat as familiar as our own,
we sink back to feathered silence.
